Every business owner knows the importance of leads for the growth of their business. Although many businesses regularly post content that helps people, a majority of them see a few clicks but not many leads. It is all the more difficult to generate leads if you have joined groups related to your niche – thanks to spammers! X-(
The goal of every business owner is to expand their business by getting more sales. The only way for getting more sales is to convert leads into paying customers. That means you have to generate more leads to grow your business.
But… Why Facebook?
According to Statista:
- In the first quarter of 2022, Facebook had 2.93 billion monthly active users, making it the most used social media platform.
- India had the highest user base on Facebook with 330 million users.
Additionally, it is rare to find someone who doesn’t have a Facebook account! I have seen people who do not have an account on Instagram and/or Twitter, but Facebook is used by almost everyone.
So if you are not sure how you can utilise the power of this potent social media platform to generate leads for your business, I will share 5 simple steps illustrating the same:
Step 1: Join Groups


The first step is to join groups related to your niche. I am an Affiliate Marketer, hence, I have joined groups related to Affiliate Marketing.
However, if you are a meditation expert, type meditation in the search box and join the groups with a high member count, alright?
Step 2: Post Content – REGULARLY!


The second step is to post content about your services. For instance, since I am an Affiliate Marketer, I will post “Did you know that Affiliate Marketing is a $12 billion industry? DM me to learn more.”
When I start to get responses, I will tell them a bit about Affiliate Marketing, answer their question, provide value, and invite them to my free training. I conduct free training, hence, I will invite them into it.
However, if you do not conduct training and have something else to offer, you can say, Hey, do you know I have a free e-book, a free checklist, a free 1-on-1 call, etc. that helped me to level up my skills? If you are interested, I will share the link, you can grab it there.
More often than not, people will ask you for the link and submit the form, okay? But before you share the link, provide value and solve their problems, okay?
So, in a nutshell, post a stat or fact in Facebook groups and invite people into a personal chat session. During the chat session, answer their questions, solve their problems, and provide value. Then, you could invite them to a free coaching session, or share the link of your lead magnet, okay?
Step 3: Answer Questions


The third step is to find questions people asked in the groups and answer them. For example, I will find a question in the groups I joined and answer it, alright?
After answering the question, I will say, “If you want to learn more about Affiliate Marketing, let’s connect on personal chat, I believe my experience will help you.”
Since you answered their question, they will reach out to you with more questions, okay? Once they DM you, you can answer their questions, clear their doubts, and then share the lead magnet, alright?
Once you have them in your e-mail list, you can send automated e-mails or broadcast e-mails informing them about your products or services.
Now, let me tell you how these methods are powerful:
- Suppose you joined 10 groups and post the same stat of fact in all of them.
- Suppose 1 person from each group DMs you.
- You answer their questions, solve their problems, and share the lead magnet.
- You will have 10 leads, right there.
- Suppose you answer 1 question in each group.
- You’d have answered 10 questions, and again if you follow the steps, you will have 10 leads.
That is 10 leads from posts and 10 leads from answers. 20 leads, right there without spending a single paisa on ads.

Step 4: Short Videos


Now, let’s see the fourth step, short videos. If you are comfortable, record a 75-90 second video and post it in every group.
The flow of your video must be as follows:
No. 1: Start with a question or a fact.
No. 2: Introduce yourself in 5-7 seconds.
No. 3: Share the 3 secrets or 3 tips.
No. 4: Give them an action.
To illustrate, I am an Affiliate Marketer, hence, my 90-second video will be like this:
“Did you know that Affiliate Marketing is a $12-billion industry and it is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 10% per year?”
“Hello everyone, I am Shubhamjeet Kumar and I have been in the Affiliate Marketing industry for 4 years. And, in this video, I will share the 3 secrets to mastering Affiliate Marketing.”
“The first secret is niche clarity. In simple words, a niche is a small segment of a large market. For example, if fitness is a large market, then yoga for fat loss is a niche. To finalize your niche, ask yourself this question: “What am I passionate about?” Whatever your answer is, it can be your niche.”
“The second secret is to create content that helps people and solves their problems. Create content in a way that highlights the benefits of the product and helps people, okay?”
“And, the third secret is traffic. You can generate traffic through 2 methods – free and paid. You can generate traffic for free from Facebook, Pinterest, Quora, and so on. The second method is the paid method and to generate traffic from the paid method, you can use platforms such as Google ads, Facebook ads, Udimi, and so on.”

Step 5: Consistency


Now, let’s see the fifth step, consistency. I strongly suggest that you post every day in all the groups and answer 1 question every day in every group.
Regarding the video, you can post 2 videos per week, okay?
If you follow all the steps I shared, you might generate more leads than me (I generated 139 leads in 7 days following the aforementioned steps).
You might generate less, you might generate more. But it is worth giving a shot, isn’t it?
