If you have 10,000 hours, great! But if you are like me and have limited time, I am going to share an ancient Japanese technique that will help you master anything fast!

Let’s Face It, You Hate Working Hard!!!

You Hate Working Hard

Although every Affiliate Marketer wants to make commissions, there is no easy way of doing so! I know you hate researching, finding topics for content, creating content, promoting your affiliate links, generating leads, and interacting with your audience.

When I started Affiliate Marketing, even I hated all of the things I mentioned above. In spite of that, I wanted to make money! So I tried finding the perfect product and ended up promoting some garbage. I tried creating the best blog post and ended up creating something lousy!

Until I was reluctant to learn and develop the crucial skills, I got the same results:

  • No Traffic
  • No Clicks
  • ZERO COMMISSIONS

Then I started doing things that were a pain in the rear:

However, the question still remains unanswered: How can I master anything without putting in the effort?

That’s when I came across a magical Japanese technique! That Japanese technique helped me master the skills I have always wanted to develop quickly!

The Ancient Japanese Technique

The ancient Japanese technique I have been talking about until now is called “Shu-Ha-Ri” or “ShuHaRi.”

It is a proven technique that leads anybody to mastery. The concept of ShuHaRi (or Shu-Ha-Ri) was first presented by Fuhaku Kawakami as Jo-ha-kyū in Tao of Tea. After some time, Zeami Motokiyo, the master of Noh, extended this concept to his dance as Shuhari, which then became a part of the philosophy of Aikido.

According to this technique, there are three phases of mastery:

  • Shu
  • Ha
  • Ri

Stage 1: Shu

ShuHaRi - Shu

Shu is the first stage of mastery! In this stage, you follow a mentor who has mastered what you are looking to learn. You are needed to focus on how to do the task and not think about the theory or logic behind the action.

There could be many ways of doing something, but you are required to follow the way the mentor or the master teaches you.

This is the stage where you learn a new skill, approach, or technique in a stepwise manner. You practice over and over to get better.

For example, there are many ways for generating traffic to your affiliate links. But if the master teaches you to generate traffic only through Facebook ads, you ought to generate traffic through Facebook ads only.

So, in the Shu stage, you learn the basics by following what the mentor or the master teaches you.

Stage 2: Ha

ShuHaRi - Ha

The second stage of this ancient Japanese technique is Ha. In this stage, you experiment with the learnings in real life and continue to learn from the master or mentor.

This is the stage where you learn the basics or the theory and/or the logic behind your learning.

For example, if you learn traffic generation through Facebook ads, you will learn the exact reason why your mentor preaches it, okay?

This is the stage where you will be tested to your core. This is because things may not work the first time you put them into practice. Going back to our example of Facebook ads, you may not generate any leads or sales.

You may feel you are doing the right thing, but still, you could fail. This is the stage where you attain mastery. The more you do something, the better you become. And, you need not give 10,000 hours.

If you get this stage right, nobody can stop you from attaining mastery! I’d also like to add that when you do not get results, you will doubt your master’s credibility. But this is the stage where you should sit tight and continue to experiment.

It is similar to riding a bicycle. If you do not know how to ride a bicycle, no matter how well your master teaches, you will lose balance and fall. So keep practising and you will improve, over time.

Stage 3: Ri

ShuHaRi - Ri

The third and final stage is called ‘Ri’. This is the stage where you are on your own. This is the stage where the rubber meets the road.

Now, you are not learning from the master. You are learning on your own through your own practice. In this stage, you figure things out yourself.

In the Ri stage, you create your own approach and adapt what you have learned to different circumstances.

For example, if your master taught you to generate traffic from Facebook ads, this is the stage where you run ads based on your own findings and insights.

Why ShuHaRi (Shu-Ha-Ri) Works?

As per experts, ShuHaRi provides tools and frameworks to learn, understand, and master a particular skill. You learn the exact methods of how you can learn and master something in a short amount of time.

You start with learning the basics and once you get the basics down, you can experiment and look for ways to integrate new thoughts or ideas. Your insights and observations from those experiments will open a whole new world for you and you will, eventually, go beyond what you learned and create your own methods and ways of doing things.

Although ShuHaRi is a phenomenal concept, you should follow it sincerely. If you are in the Shu stage, you could feel that you belong to the Ha stage and start experimenting too soon.
